We’re proud to report that Revelator director Deepak Chetty’s 3D film, HARD RESET, won “Best Live-Action Short” at the Advanced Imaging Society’s 7th Annual Awards Ceremony, alongside films like STAR WARS and INSIDE OUT. The Society recognizes outstanding international achievement in Advanced Imaging film, television and electronic broadcast media through its Creative Arts Awards. The Advanced Imaging Society bestowed 20 honors to several film, television and electronic projects for “distinguished achievement” at Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood.

HARD RESET uses the very latest in 3D technology, but Deepak says that creating the right story was always his first intention. “From the beginning with Hard Reset I sought to make a film that flexed, stressed and developed every creative muscle I could muster,” Deepak said. “I’ve always desired to create and explore the process of filmmaking with cutting edge technology and this project from day one is an extension of that desire. Using stereoscopic 3D and visual effects to tell a story that would entertain and transport an audience was the goal.”

Deepak was definitely in good company during the awards ceremony, with other films like JJ Abrams’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN and Robert Zemeckis’ THE WALK all taking top awards.

“The fact that we’ve been honored with an award by industry veterans alongside other films such as Star Wars and The Martian, is something that we’d never imagined at the start of this process,” Deepak said. “The men and women responsible for those films were the very people who fostered my interest in film to begin with, and for that I am humbled and very grateful.”

Congratulations again to Deepak for the deserving honor, and check back for some exciting news about when you can see HARD RESET in 3D very soon. In the meantime, enjoy this preview of Deepak’s film.
