Slackerwood Visits Revelator’s Thank You a Lot Set

Posted on

In the middle of a hectic and hot (we’re talking triple digits here) shoot, Revelator was excited to welcome one of our favorite Austin film blogs to the set of Thank You a Lot for a look behind the scenes.

We gave Debbie from Slackerwood a tour of one of the many venues we are using during the 18-day shoot and are so excited to read her photo essay detailing it all. Thank You a Lot is Revelator’s first feature production, so we were thrilled to invite Debbie to the 33rd floor of the Frost Bank Tower in downtown Austin where she got a glimpse of the blood and sweat (did we mention it was hot?) we’re putting into this film.

Thank You a Lot is the story of Jack Hand, a struggling, two-bit music manager who will lose his job unless he signs a reclusive country music singer, James Hand, who also happens to be Jack’s estranged father.

The screenplay was written by Revelator’s Lead Creative, Matt Muir, and the film stars Blake DeLong and James Hand. Muir created a fictionalized version of real-life musician James Hand for the film.

Stay tuned for more news on Thank You a Lot as we enter post-production!
