Sarah Brennan Kolb is a Texas-born director known for her compassionate storytelling and ability to capture authentic voices from overlooked communities and landscapes. Working across documentary, commercial, and narrative filmmaking, she creates visually rich stories grounded in human connection and emotional truth.

Her feature documentary, GOOD OL GIRL, premiered at SXSW and is now streaming on DeskPop Entertainment. Sarah recently directed episodes of The Pete Davidson Show, Netflix’s original video podcast series, bringing her observational style and character-driven approach to the platform. Sarah’s commercial work includes projects for clients such as Dickies, Mailchimp, Camarena Tequila, and Mazda, bringing the same observational approach and emotional authenticity to branded storytelling.

Before launching her filmmaking career, Sarah worked on a horse ranch in the mountains of Wyoming, an experience that shaped her hands-on approach to directing. She later returned to her hometown of Kenedy, Texas, where she worked alongside local ranch women, deepening her connection to the communities and characters that continue to inspire her work.

In addition to directing, Sarah has an accomplished producing career. Her credits include Lingua Franca (Venice Film Festival, Netflix), Major Arcana (Raindance Film Festival, Kino Lorber), and Little Woods (Tribeca Festival, NEON). Across every project, Sarah brings empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for the people at the center of the story.
