Matt Muir is an Austin-based director and filmmaker working across commercial, documentary, music video, and narrative projects. For more than a decade, he has crafted visually driven, character-focused stories for brands, artists, and audiences.
His commercial work includes projects for Dodge, IBM, Hagerty, Capital One, and Indian Motorcycle. He combines cinematic visuals with authentic performances to create work that feels emotionally resonant and visually distinctive.
Matt’s narrative films and music videos have screened internationally. His debut feature, Thank You A Lot, premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was released by Gravitas Ventures. More recently, his music video for Hermanos Gutiérrez and Leon Bridges, Elegantly Wasted, was selected for the Tribeca Festival and has reached millions of viewers online.
