The Path Less Traveled with The Glenlivet
Revelator partnered with The Glenlivet and Travel + Leisure to create The Path Less Traveled, a premium digital video series celebrating culture, connection, and the art of discovery. As a production company rooted in cinematic storytelling, our goal was to craft a brand film experience that invites viewers to travel deeper, pairing world-class destinations with the refined spirit of The Glenlivet.
A National Production Rooted in Discovery
Helmed by Revelator director Brittany Reeber and produced by Revelator’s Sam Page, this national production spanned two extraordinary locations, Marfa, Texas and Monterey Bay, California, each chosen for its character and contrast. In Marfa, art and architecture rise from desert horizons; in Monterey Bay, ocean winds and hospitality define the pace of life. Across each film, we paired Travel + Leisure contributor Chris Dong with luxury travel creator Cameron Lee to explore each destination’s hidden gems and toast to their discoveries with a glass of The Glenlivet.
A Thoughtful Creative Strategy
With a social-first mindset guiding the production, the series was designed to live natively across platforms without sacrificing cinematic craft. With Sam Page leading production as one of Revelator’s dedicated social-first producers, the project reflects how our social-first team approaches modern campaigns—bringing polish, intention, and storytelling restraint to content built for social audiences. The creative strategy centered on authenticity and balance. Each episode pairs expertise and curiosity, one host offering cultural context, the other sharing in delight and discovery. Through voiceover and candid moments of shared exploration and discussion, the dynamic feels effortless and human. The approach mirrors how The Glenlivet connects tradition with innovation: confident, curious, and quietly bold. The series’ 60-second structure containing introduction, exploration, and reflection keeps the storytelling tight and mobile-friendly. The cinematography emphasizes natural light and local texture, featuring vertical compositions with a balance of scale and detail that highlight each city’s character, from Marfa’s minimalist architecture to Monterey’s rugged coastline. A rich, teal-accented color palette and cinematic sound design layered with local soundscapes tie the worlds together for an immersive visual and tonal experience.
Elevating the Brand Film Experience
Each video integrates The Glenlivet organically, never as product placement but rather as a shared ritual toasting to the day’s discoveries. A pour of scotch closes each story, symbolizing connection after a day of shared exploration. This lifestyle-driven storytelling reinforces The Glenlivet as a trusted companion to curiosity, intended to be enjoyed in moments of togetherness. Revelator’s in-house team managed every stage of video production, from pre-production logistics and on-location direction to post-production color and sound. Our crew captured cinematic imagery while tailoring content for social videos at 9×16, 1×1, and 2×3 formats, ensuring the campaign worked seamlessly across social and digital advertising platforms.
A Toast to Connection
The Path Less Traveled exemplifies how a brand film can feel both aspirational and grounded. By blending editorial storytelling with commercial polish, Revelator helped two iconic brands celebrate what happens when expertise meets wonder. At Revelator, we believe the best video productions transform branded content into meaningful experiences. This project showcases that when craft meets curiosity, every frame becomes a reason to raise a glass.
